Istanbul, Turkey by Chi*

9時間のバス旅を終えてイスタンブールに着きました。
トルコ4日目はイスタンブールです。

私達が宿泊したHostelはすごいいいロケーションで
有名な観光地は歩いてまわることができました。

HostelはBig Apple Hostel、Sultanahmet地区
スタッフはすごい親切で日本語も英語も話してました。
部屋も綺麗で、朝食付き1泊90YTL/6,300円

路面電車Sultanahmet駅を降りてまず目に入るのが
Blue Mosque
















中にはいるとこんな感じ。
巨大なドームには圧倒されました。
















そしてその向かいにある世界文化遺産にも登録されている
Haghia Sophia
















中はこんな感じです。
もともとはキリスト教の大聖堂でその後イスラム教へと変えたらしい。
なので、内部はクリスチャンとイスラムが混じっていて変な感じでした。

すごいたくさんお店あってすごい楽しいです。
でも買う時は値切る事をお忘れなく！
最初2倍か3倍の値段で売ろうとしてきますので・・

ヨーロピアンサイドからアジアンサイドへ！
















今回お世話になったトルコ人のお友達Mustafaも一緒にCruise.
彼がいなかったら本当にどうなっていたか・・と思うくらい
たくさん助けてもらいました。トルコ語難しい～！




















Eminonu Pierではたくさん釣りをしている人がいます。
たくさんたくさん魚釣れるようです。
ここではフィッシュサンドウィッチやたくさんの魚料理が食べれます。
















Mustafaがおうちにまで招待してくれて家族にも会えました。
伝統的なトルコ料理をたくさん作ってくれてました。
お母さんは英語が少しわかりますが、お父さんは全く分からないのですが、
でもMustafaの通訳で本当に楽しく過ごす事ができました。

最後にはTurkish coffeeをいただき、『コーヒー占い』までしていただきました。
コーヒー占いとはコーヒーを飲み終わった後にカップとソーサーで占いをします。
私もトムも2009年とてもいい年になるようなお話だったので良かったです。
















トルコを訪れてまた新しい文化を学ぶことができました。
もっと歴史を勉強しておけば良かったなって本当に思います。
でもこれを機会にまた勉強したくなりました。


After 9 hours bus journey we arrived in Istanbul and stayed 3 nights there.
The hostel where we stayed at, was called Big Apple. It had an excellent location and cost 90YTL(45 pounds)

We could walk to most famous sightseeing places, such as
Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace,
Archaeological Museum etc.

There is a tram available (1.40YTL/single)
We could go to Bosphorus, Eminonu Pier easily.
From Eminonu Pier you can go to the Asian side by boat for only 1.40YTL.
The view from the boat was so beautiful, we could see all the European side and Asian side.

We didn't see anything special in the Asian side but we went to a cafe by the sea. I ate a fish sandwich which was really good.

Whilst we were travelling in Turkey my friend Mustafa helped us all the time.
If we had travelled only us we wouldn't have had such a fantastic time over there.
Because Turkish is quite difficult, even though they speak some English and Japanese. They try to approach to sell something etc.

Mustafa advised us lots of things so we could avoid some troubles.
On the last day he invited us his family's house which was very lovely.
We had traditional turkish food.
His mum did turkish coffee fourtune telling for us.

Istanbul is so big!
We wish we had stayed a couple of days more.
You can stay there a week easily. There are lots of things to do.
