Tube ストライキ by Chi*

昨日の午後7時から48時間のストライキが始まってます。

The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) Union が
求めているのは5%の給料アップと強制的な一時解雇をしないことです。
毎日約300万人がTubeを利用していて、
今回のストライキによるコストは1億ポンド150円で
換算すると150億円にもなるそうです。

ラッキーな事に私がいつも利用しているビクトリアラインは
限られた駅の間だけ動いていて、その限られた駅に
学校、仕事、おうちの駅をしっかりカバーしてくれていたので
無事に1日が終わりました。

ってかこんなすいてるTubeに乗ったのは初めて！って位空いていて、
駅にも全然人がいませんでした～。
その代わり、バスは混みこみで大変な事になってましたけどね・・。

しかしこんな不景気によくもこんなストライキを起こすな・・って思いますけどね。

日本はあんまりストライキないですかね？
でもたまにはこうしてイギリスみたいに訴える事も必要なんですかね？
ちょっと日本は我慢しすぎなのかな・・？
自分の体も大切だと思うので、体を弱めたり、自殺に追い込むまで
働かないで欲しいです。そうさせてる社会環境もどうかと思いますが・・。




The RMT union strike started at 19:00 on Tuesday 9 June . Tube services will not return to normal until Friday morning 12 June and could cost the nation £110 million. The tube is used by 30 million people every day. Luckily, the Victoria line which I always use, was working between Victoria and Seven Sisters Road; it covers my school, job and home station. The stations and tube were absolutely empty; I've always seen it full of people. I can't understand why RMT has gone on strike during the recession. If I think about Japan, I hardly ever experienced a strike but Japanese people should go on strike someday: they shouldn't be so patient. Please don't work too hard until you get sick or commit suicide.
