私達の結婚式の1週間後に、トムのベストフレンドの
結婚式がShrewsburyでありました。
行われたのはとても素敵な大聖堂です。
誓いの言葉、そして指輪交換・・
その時に起こったびっくりハプニング！
こちらではRing bearerといって新郎新婦の結婚指輪を管理する人を
家族、親戚、友達の中から選びます。その担当になった人は、
式の間、指輪の交換まで指輪を管理します。
いよいよ指輪交換になった時、なんと管理していたベストマン（親友）が
指輪がないことに気付いて、他の親友5人に助けを求めるが、誰も持ってない～！
っていうハプニング。でもこれ実は新郎がおもしろおかしく仕掛けたらしい。
最終的には、親友一人がポケットに持ってて、無事に指輪交換できたんだけどね。
見てた私達は、まさか新郎が仕掛けたなんて知らなくて
本当に指輪忘れたのかと思ったし、でもおかしくて笑っちゃったんだけどね。
こんな事まで仕掛けちゃうのが、おもしろいよね。
日本ではありえな～い話！ともかく結婚おめでとう！
式の後は新婦のおうちでのパーティーでした。
すごい人数が入っちゃうくらいの大きなお庭に
Marquee（テント、こちらではマーキーといいます）を設定してのパーティー。
とっても素敵なオウチでした。
席表も可愛くつくってありました。
I went to Tom's best friend's wedding 1 week after our wedding in Shrewsbury. We stayed at Mad Jacks which has very cosy rooms, nice restaurant and bar. The wedding ceremony was held in Shrewsbury Cathedral. It was a great ceremony until the time came to exchange rings. The ringbearer who was supposed to care the rings during ceremony, was also one of the best men, could not find them when he was supposed to give to them exchange, then he asked another best men but nobody know where the rings were. Actually, this story was a trick by the groom, but all the guests apart from the best men, didn't know. It was a surprise and a bit of a joke. I can't imagine the same happening in Japan though. Anyway,the ceremony finished well and we had the after party in the bride's garden which was nice and cosy.
