THE UNILEVER SERIES by Chi*

やっと行ってきました。
フランス人作家Dominique Gonzalez-Foersterによる

エキシビジョン、The Unilever Series。

階段を降りて下へ・・・

そこには200個もの2段ベットが並べられており

Louise Bourgeoisによるクモ、

Alexander Calderによるフラミンゴ、

Maurizio Cattelanによる恐竜Felix 2001等々が
ベットに一緒に置かれています。

何とも不思議な光景。

ここは50年後のロンドンがテーマなのです。

例えば爆弾テロで街がぶっ飛んだとして・・・、

テートモダンが避難所へと変わるのです。

避難生活を少しでも楽しく過ごせるように、

ベッドにはSF小説なんかも置いてあったりして

ちょっと寝転んでみてみました。

これで避難生活も楽しく過ごせる？笑

来年4月13日までです。

I went to Tate Modern to see THE UNILEVER SERIES

in the early morning which was really good.

The theme is London 50 years in the future.

Tate Modern has become a shelter designed by

Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster.

They welcome us like some animals in a Zoo.

There are 200 beds, some SF books on the beds and a big screen.

The screen shows a film, which seems to be as much

experimental cinema as science fiction.

I really enjoyed it such as lying the bed and seeing the animals.

It will be running until 13th April 2009.
