The Apprentice season 5 by Chi*

ホストを務める著名実業家が経営する会社で、
右腕として働く人材が決まる過程を追うリアリティ番組の一種。
応募者の中から番組への参加者となる十数名が選ばれ、
参加者は「見習い(=Apprentice)」として働き、
ホストの会社への本採用を勝ち取る。

「You are fired」の決めゼリフでおなじみのこちらの番組ですが、
Season 5がいよいよ3月25日から始まりますね～















UKバージョンのホストは、私の次の読書の候補にもあがっている
Alan Sugar。1968年に21歳でAmstrad を設立。
オーディオ機器、テレビ、デジタルサテライトなどの商品の製造及び
販売会社であるAmstradは、着実に成長を遂げ、
1980年にはロンドン株式市場に上場。


2000年にはビジネス実績が評価され、Sirの称号を授与。
また、City UniversityとBrunel Universityからそれぞれ与えられた
名誉博士号を2つ有する。2007年にAmstradをSkyに売却したものの、
会長に留任。現在は、英国財務省にてアドバイザーとしても活動を行っている。

彼の「I'm unique」というセリフも気になるし、よく「Bloody～」ってのも
よく使うんだけど、それを聞くとすごいイギリス英語って感じもするし、
彼の発言は厳しいけど、なんか勉強になるので好きです。



Sir Alan Sugar will be returning with a new group of candidates
when The Apprentice UK Series 5 premieres on BBC One
Wednesday March 25. Nick and Margaret will be back as usual
(he hasn’t offed them so his kids can be on TV) as well.

Actually I want to read his biography. Sine I watched this program
I became a fan. I especially like the words he uses such as, I'm unique,
using BLOODY. I think that to use BLOODY sth is very British English.

Watching this program I am able to study English and
business which is quite useful.
I can't wait! I'm really looking forward to seeing him on the TV again.
